Huge prize won by Greenville man

LANSING, May 15, 2007 – Jason Higgins is one lucky man!  His $5 bet on a nine-spot Club Keno game made him $10,000 richer!

Usually the prize for matching eight of nine numbers is $2,000, but because Higgins paid $5 on his draw, it bumped his prize up to a whopping $10,000 win!

The regular Club Keno player plans to use his easy pick winnings to pay his bills.  In his free time, Higgins enjoys the outdoors.

The bartender purchased the winning ticket at Winter Inn, 100 N. Lafayette St., in Greenville.

Club Keno offers 37 different ways to play and win.  Players can wager $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $10 or $20 per drawing and tickets can be purchased for up to 20 drawings at a time.  Players win Club Keno by matching some or all of the numbers they have selected to the numbers drawn.  The more numbers matched, the more the player wins.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
