Lansing, April 26, 2007 – Lottery fans are invited to help celebrate Lucky Streak and Lucky Streak Plus, the Michigan Lottery’s newest prize winning opportunity. The celebrations will take place at four different event locations in the Grand Rapids area.
At each event, players will have an opportunity to spin the Michigan Lottery’s prize wheel and win exciting Lottery prizes! Players will be entitled to a spin when they purchase a $10 Lucky Streak ticket or a $5 Lucky Streak Plus ticket.
The schedule of events is as follows:
- Friday, April 27 – Florentine Ristorante, 3245 28th St., SW, in Grandville from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.;
- Friday, April 27 – Vitale’s Sports Lounge, 3868 West River Dr., in Comstock Park from 5 – 7 p.m.;
- Wednesday, May 2 – Florentine’s Pizza/ Restaurant & Spirits, 4261 Kalamazoo Ave., SE, in Grand Rapids from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m.
- Thursday, May 3 – Uccello’s #2, 2787 Lake Michigan Dr., in Walker from 5 – 7 p.m.
The four locations are among approximately 300 in west Michigan in which the Michigan Lottery’s newest Club Game is currently being tested. The trial is also being run at a few select locations in the Lansing area, which began April 22.
In Lucky Streak, players select how many draws they wish to play, from 1 through 6. They then select one number between zero and nine for each draw played. One winning number will be drawn and displayed on the Club Keno monitor every 4 minutes just before the Kicker and Club Keno drawings. On a $1 wager, players win up to $500,000 for matching their number on every draw played. To increase odds of winning a cash prize, players can use the Lucky Streak Plus feature. For an extra $1, players can “hedge their bets” and win by matching their numbers on fewer draws.
All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan. In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
