Winner claims big prize

LANSING, April 19, 2007 – A very lucky Delton woman is $20,000 richer after her friend convinced her to play a $20 Club Keno ticket with the Kicker.  The gamble paid off when she won big!

Denice Quick matched eight of 10 easy pick numbers in a 10-Spot game with a 2X Kicker and a $20 wager to win $20,000!

Quick hid the ticket in her wallet near photos of her grandchildren before claiming her prize at the Lottery office in Wyoming.  She plans to use the money for some home and car repairs.

In her spare time the winner enjoys singing, playing guitar and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

The lucky ticket was purchased at Tenth Street Saloon, 136 North Main St., in Plainwell.

Club Keno offers 37 different ways to play and win.  Players can wager $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $10 or $20 per drawing and tickets can be purchased for up to 20 drawings at a time.  Players win Club Keno by matching some or all of the numbers they have selected to the numbers drawn.  The more numbers matched, the more the player wins.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
