Muskegon area man strikes it rich

LANSING, April 17, 2007 – A very lucky Fantasy 5 ticket was worth almost two times what a Muskegon area man thought it was.  He cashed in his April 13 win for $218,108!

The winner, who opted to remain anonymous, read of his good fortune in the local newspaper.  He originally thought his winning ticket was worth $100,000 but after a friend checked the Lottery’s web site for him, he learned it was more than two times that amount!

The winner plans to use the easy pick winnings to purchase a new vehicle and pay his bills.  In his free time the winner enjoys golfing.

The winning ticket was purchased at Wesco #15, 203 E. Colby St., in Whitehall.

Fantasy 5 drawings are conducted seven days a week.  Jackpots start at $100,000 and grow by approximately $5,000 daily.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
