The winner said he locked the winning ticket in his desk before turning it in at the Lottery’s office in Dearborn Heights.  He plans to use the prize money to pay bills.

The man purchased his winning easy pick ticket at Brass Mug Liquor, 19213 Newburgh Rd., in Livonia.

Mega Millions is a multi-state lottery game in Michigan, California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.  Wagers cost $1 each and tickets may be purchased at nearly 11,000 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.
