LANSING, April 12, 2007 – An Inkster woman matched four white ball numbers and the gold Mega ball in the April 6 Mega Millions drawing to win a $10,000 prize!
Annissia Johnson told Lottery officials that she was happy with her big win. She chose her own number by picking ages of people that she knows. Johnson plans on using her prize money to pay bills.
The lucky winning ticket was purchased at Hills Auto Service, 2700 Cherry Hill, in Dearborn Heights.
Mega Millions is a multi-state lottery game in Michigan, California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington. Wagers cost $1 each and tickets may be purchased at nearly 11,000 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.
All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan. In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
