LANSING, April 5, 2007 – A very lucky Fruitport man is $17,000 richer!  He scratched a winning Blazing Red 7s ticket to win the prize.

The winner, who chose to remain anonymous, said he’s been playing the Lottery for 20 years.  In his spare time he enjoys riding his Harley and plans to use the prize money to pay bills.

The winning ticket was purchased at Kountry Korners, 5615 Heights Ravenna, in Fruitport.

Blazing Red 7s is just one of many Michigan Lottery Instant tickets available at nearly 11,000 Lottery retailers statewide.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
