LANSING, April 5, 2007 – A very lucky Lottery player matched all five numbers in the April 1 Fantasy 5 drawing to win $119,314!

The winner, who chose to remain anonymous, had a hard time convincing his wife that he’d won, since he hit big on April Fools Day.  “She thought I’d rigged the computer screen some how, she couldn’t believe it!” said the lucky winner.

The winner used “hot” numbers from a Roulette game to select his winning own pick digits.  He said he’s looking forward to being debt free after using the prize money to pay bills.  He also plans to travel this spring and watch his son play baseball.

Although this is the largest win for the longtime player, he has been lucky playing the Daily 3 game; he’s won seven times this year!

The winning ticket was purchased at Alpena EZ Mart, 1035 W. Chisholm, in Alpena.

Fantasy 5 drawings are conducted seven days a week.  Jackpots start at $100,000 and grow by approximately $5,000 daily.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
