Regular Lottery player wins $10,000

LANSING, April 4, 2007 – Marvin Rettenmund of Fenton is a very lucky regular Mega Millions player.  He matched four white ball numbers and the Mega ball number in the March 30 drawing to win a $10,000 prize!

The lucky winner read of his good fortune in the paper before redeeming his easy pick ticket at the Lottery’s Saginaw office.

The winning ticket was purchased at Farmer Jack #702, 15100 Silver Lake Parkway, in Fenton.

Mega Millions is a multi-state lottery game in Michigan, California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.  Wagers cost $1 each and tickets may be purchased at nearly 11,000 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
