LANSING, March 27, 2007 – A very lucky Plainwell man is $10,000 richer after he scratched a winning Set for Life Instant ticket.

The winner said he hid the winning ticket in his sock drawer before claiming his prize at the Lottery office in Wyoming. 

Mark Otting had a hard time sleeping after he scratched the big winner. 

The lucky winner said he plans to use the prize money to pay bills.  The winning ticket was purchased at Pine Lake Grocery, 942 Doster Rd., in Plainwell.

Set for Life is just one of many Michigan Lottery Instant tickets available at nearly 11,000 Lottery retailers statewide.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
