Player claims $10,000

LANSING, March 22, 2007 – Jimmy Marrogy of Farmington Hills is a very lucky guy!  He matched four white ball numbers, plus the Mega ball in the March 6 Mega Millions drawing to win $10,000!

The lucky grocery store manager has been playing for 10 years and previously won $500. He is “happy to win.”

The lucky own pick ticket was purchased at New Pick & Save, 7404 7 Mile Rd., in Detroit. The winner plans to save his prize money for a “rainy day.”

Mega Millions is a multi-state lottery game in Michigan, California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.  Wagers cost $1 each and tickets may be purchased at nearly 11,000 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
