Lottery Club is $10,000 richer

LANSING, March 22, 2007 – The WACO Lottery Club of Wyandotte matched four white ball numbers and the gold ball number in the March 6 Mega Millions drawing and won a $10,000 prize!

The club has been playing together for the last six months and this is their first big win to date.  They plan on paying bills and taking a vacation with the prize money.

The lucky winning own pick ticket was purchased at Gleno’s Party Store, 2955 Oakwood Blvd., in Melvindale.

Mega Millions is a multi-state lottery game in Michigan, California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.  Wagers cost $1 each and tickets may be purchased at nearly 11,000 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
