LANSING, March 22, 2007 – One very lucky winner has claimed $607,826 after he matched all five numbers in the March 11 Fantasy 5 drawing.

The winner, who chose to remain anonymous, plays the Fantasy 5 and Keno games daily.  He has been playing for “a long time” and was excited to win.

He checked his numbers on the Lottery’s Web site and after seeing the results had to re-check four or five times!  He was still in disbelief and called his wife to confirm.

The winner purchased the lucky easy pick ticket at Joseph Keg & Wine, 16753 E. 9 Mile Rd., in Eastpointe.  The player and his wife plan to use the money to pay off all their bills, invest and save.

Fantasy 5 drawings are conducted seven days a week.  Jackpots start at $100,000 and grow by approximately $5,000 daily.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
