LANSING, March 14, 2007 – A very lucky Club Keno player won $15,000 after she matched nine of 10 numbers in a 10-Spot game.
The match usually pays $5,000, but the player wagered $3 per draw to multiply her prize. She chose to remain anonymous and said she has no immediate plans for the prize money.
The own-pick ticket was purchased at Dooley’s Tavern, 12414 Hall Rd., in Sterling Heights.
Club Keno offers 37 different ways to play and win. Players can wager $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $10 or $20 per drawing and tickets can be purchased for up to 20 drawings at a time. Players win Club Keno by matching some or all of the numbers they have selected to the numbers drawn. The more numbers matched, the more the player wins.
All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan. In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
