Lucky teacher wins $10,000

LANSING, March 12, 2007 – A lucky Redford woman won a $10,000 Mega Millions prize by matching four white ball numbers and the gold Mega ball in the March 6 drawing.

Stephanie Coleman couldn’t believe her luck!  She plans to use her prize money to pay bills.  In her free time, she enjoys dancing and fishing.

Coleman purchase her easy pick ticket at Sunshine Party Store, Inc., 35634 W. Michigan Ave., in Wayne.

Mega Millions is a multi-state lottery game in Michigan, California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.  Wagers cost $1 each and tickets may be purchased at nearly 11,000 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
