Club Keno player $10,000 richer

LANSING, March 12, 2007 – A Brighton woman “couldn’t stop shaking” after discovering her Club Keno ticket was worth $10,000!

Joyce Roberts has been playing Club Keno for the last year and this is her largest win to date.  She plans to use the prize money to pay bills.  Roberts told Lottery officials that she enjoys bowling in her free time.

The winning own pick ticket was purchased at Striking Lanes, 1535 Old US 23, in Hartland.

Club Keno offers 37 different ways to play and win.  Players can wager $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $10 or $20 per drawing and tickets can be purchased for up to 20 drawings at a time.  Players win Club Keno by matching some or all of the numbers they have selected to the numbers drawn.  The more numbers matched, the more the player wins.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
