Club Keno makes one man $25,000 richer

LANSING, March 12, 2007 – A very lucky self-employed man is $25,000 richer, thanks to matching nine of nine numbers in the Lottery’s Club Keno game.

“Big Larry” picked his own numbers “one at a time” and was excited when they all came up. He plans to use his prize money to pay bills.

The winning ticket was purchased at Mr. K’s Grille & Spirits, 53100 Gratiot, in Chesterfield.

Club Keno offers 37 different ways to play and win. Players can wager $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $10 or $20 per drawing and tickets can be purchased for up to 20 drawings at a time. Players win Club Keno by matching some or all of the numbers they have selected to the numbers drawn. The more numbers matched, the more the player wins.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan. In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
