Fenton man wins $10,000

LANSING, February 27, 2007 – A very lucky man from Fenton is $10,000 richer today!  Paul Briggs Jr. matched eight of ten numbers in the 10-spot Club Keno game, bet $5 a draw and chose the Kicker option to win the prize.

The winner was in “total shock” after learning of his big win.  He plans to pay bills with his own-pick prize money.  In his free time, Briggs enjoys hunting and fishing.

The winner purchased his lucky ticket at Eddie’s End of Rainbow, 24715 S. Chrysler Dr., in Hazel Park.

Club Keno offers 37 different ways to play and win.  Players can wager $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $10 or $20 per drawing and tickets can be purchased for up to 20 drawings at a time.  Players win Club Keno by matching some or all of the numbers they have selected to the numbers drawn.  The more numbers matched, the more the player wins.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
