LANSING, February 27, 2007 – A very lucky Detroit man thought he was dreaming when he scratched off a $1 million winning ticket.  The man, who opted to remain anonymous, couldn’t believe his luck with his $40,000,000 Spectacular Instant ticket!

The 37-year-old regular Lottery player plans to pay his mortgage with his winnings.  He enjoys listening to and producing music in his free time.

The lucky ticket was purchased at AAA Party Store, 26419 Harper Ave., in St. Clair Shores.

$40,000,000 Spectacular is just one of many Michigan Lottery Instant tickets available at nearly 11,000 Lottery retailers statewide.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
