Milford woman cashes in

LANSING, February 13, 2007 – Jennie Sandell won big when she matched four white ball numbers, plus the Mega ball in the Jan. 31 Mega Millions drawing.

The winner, who has been playing the Lottery for 25 years, won $10,000! The winner enjoys quilting and crafts in her spare time. 

The easy pick ticket was purchased at Meijer #122, 49900 Grand River Ave., in Wixom.

Mega Millions is a multi-state lottery game in Michigan, California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington. Wagers cost $1 each and tickets may be purchased at nearly 11,000 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan. In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
