LANSING, February 5, 2007 – Are you looking for a dynamic speaker for your next group meeting? Are your members interested in the Lottery and its contributions to the local economy? The Michigan Lottery is pleased to announce the formation of the Lottery Speakers Bureau. This group of Lottery professionals is ready and eager to meet with your group or civic organization.
The Lottery has proudly supported public education for nearly 35 years, contributing $13 billion to schools during that time. While the Lottery’s contributions to schools are extremely important, it also plays a significant role in the state’s economy.

“We welcome the opportunity to bring information about the Lottery directly to your organization,” Lottery Commissioner Gary Peters said. “Not only is this a chance for us to share specifics about the Lottery in your community with you, but also for you to ask the Lottery any questions you might have.”
To schedule a Speakers Bureau presenter, please call the Lottery Public Relations office at (517) 373-1237 or by email at milottery@michigan.gov .
All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan. In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
