Roseville man claims prize

LANSING, February 1, 2007 – Thomas Chuchran is a very lucky man!  He matched four white ball numbers and the Mega ball number in the January 26 Mega Millions drawing to win $10,000!

The winner, who has been playing the Lottery for 25 years, said he checked his winning numbers in the newspaper and has no immediate plans for this prize money.

The winning easy pick winning ticket was purchased at Embassy Liquor, 29010 Beaconsfield St., in Roseville.

Mega Millions is a multi-state lottery game in Michigan, California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.  Wagers cost $1 each and tickets may be purchased at nearly 11,000 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
