Southfield man wins $10,000

LANSING, January 30, 2007 – A very lucky man is $10,000 richer today by matching four white ball numbers and the gold Mega ball number in the Jan. 24 Mega Millions drawing. Bryce Gilliam, a regular Lottery player from Southfield, was very happy with his easy pick win.  He plans to pay bills with his prize money. Bryce Gilliam purchased his winning ticket at BP Gas, 28939 Southfield Rd., in Lathrup Village. Mega Millions is a multi-state lottery game in Michigan, California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.  Wagers cost $1 each and tickets may be purchased at nearly 11,000 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide. All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
