$35,000 Cashword prize claimed

LANSING, January 22, 2007 – A very lucky Muskegon man claimed the top $35,000 prize in the Lottery’s Cashword Instant game.

The winner, who chose to remain anonymous, told Lottery officials he was “weak in the knees” after learning of his good fortune.  The man who enjoys treasure hunting in his free time plans to use the prize money to do home renovations and take a vacation.

The lucky winning ticket was purchased at E & A Pitstop, 5586 E. Apple Ave., in Muskegon.

Cashword is just one of many Michigan Lottery Instant tickets available at nearly 11,000 Lottery retailers statewide.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
