LANSING, January 18, 2007 – A $2 Instant ticket equaled big bucks for one lucky Kalamazoo man! He won $25,000 when he scratched a winning Building Bucks ticket!
The lucky winner, who chose to remain anonymous, said he hid the ticket in his pocket before claiming the prize at the Lottery office in Wyoming and plans to use the prize money to pay for a vacation.
The winning ticket was purchased at Allegan Shell, 550 Water St., in Allegan.
Building Bucks is just one of many Michigan Lottery Instant tickets available at nearly 11,000 Lottery retailers statewide.
All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan. In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
