LANSING, January 18, 2006 – Andrea Martin was hoping to win enough money to retire when she purchased a Club Keno ticket! The 46-year-old woman is a little closer to that goal after winning $10,000!
Martin, who has been playing the Lottery for 20 years, said she will invest her prize money. The lucky Pittsfield Township winner chose her own numbers for the game based on the ages and birthdates of her children, nieces and nephews.
The lucky ticket was purchased at Marvaso’s Grille & Spirits, 6581 N. Wayne, in Westland.
Club Keno offers 37 different ways to play and win. Players can wager $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $10 or $20 per drawing and tickets can be purchased for up to 20 drawings at a time. Players win Club Keno by matching some or all of the numbers they have selected to the numbers drawn. The more numbers matched, the more the player wins.
All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan. In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
