10X Kicker equals $50,000

LANSING, January 18, 2006 – Donald Bakeman of Dowagiac cashed in when he won $50,000 playing Club Keno

The lucky man matched nine of 10 numbers on a 10-Spot game.  The match usually pays $5,000, but a 10X Kicker multiplied his prize!

Bakeman, who has only been playing the Lottery for about three months, said he used the self-serve scanner to verify that his ticket was a big winner.  He plans to use the prize money to pay bills and invest.

The own-pick ticket was purchased at Beeson St. Bar, 105 Beeson, in Dowagiac.

Club Keno offers 37 different ways to play and win.  Players can wager $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $10 or $20 per drawing and tickets can be purchased for up to 20 drawings at a time.  Players win Club Keno by matching some or all of the numbers they have selected to the numbers drawn.  The more numbers matched, the more the player wins.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
