LANSING, January 12, 2007 – A very lucky Eastpointe man claimed an $110,000 Fantasy 5 prize earlier today. 

The lucky anonymous man told Lottery officials that he was not a regular Lottery player and purchased his easy pick ticket “on a whim”.  He plans to spend his prize money on a house, car and his children.

The lucky winning ticket was purchased at Paul’s 9 & 10 Market Inc., 24404 Gratiot Ave., in Eastpointe.

Fantasy 5 drawings are conducted seven days a week.  Jackpots start at $100,000 and grow by approximately $5,000 daily.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
