Potterville man wins $10,030 Club Keno prize

LANSING, December 13, 2006 ? Charles Osborne from Potterville won a $10,030 prize by matching nine out of 10 numbers in the 10-spot Club Keno game.  The normal payout for this match is $5,000, but ?Ozzie” kicked up his winnings by 2 because he selected the Kicker option.  The winner also matched two other draws to win an extra $30.

The 53-year-old mechanical contractor picked his own numbers from ages and birthdates.  He hid the winning ticket in his safe before cashing it in at Lottery Central in Lansing.  He has no immediate plans for his money.

Ozzie purchased the lucky winning ticket at Coach’s Pub & Grill, 6201 Bishop Rd., in Lansing.

Club Keno offers 37 different ways to play and win.  Players can wager $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $10 or $20 per drawing and tickets can be purchased for up to 20 drawings at a time.  Players win Club Keno by matching some or all of the numbers they have selected to the numbers drawn.  The more numbers matched, the more the player wins.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
