LANSING, November 30, 2006 – Larry Crabtree of Waterford is a very lucky man! He matched four white ball numbers and the gold Mega number to win a $10,000 in the Mega Millions game.
The self-employed truck driver read of his good fortune in the newspaper. He plans to use the prize money to help finance his move to Arizona. In his free time, he enjoys fishing and being out in the sun.
The lucky easy pick ticket was purchased at Ramm Enterprises, 4930 Livernois Ave., in Detroit.
Mega Millions is a multi-state lottery game in Michigan, California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington. Wagers cost $1 each and tickets may be purchased at nearly 11,000 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.
All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan. In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $686.3 million.
