LANSING, November 20, 2006 – As of this morning, only one week into sales, the Michigan Lottery has sold 356,206 Millionaire Raffle tickets!
That means only 143,794 tickets still remain of the 500,000 that will be sold. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at any Lottery retail location, including Club Keno retailers.
Millionaire Raffle has five prizes of $1 million; 10 prizes of $100,000; and 750 prizes of $1,000!
“The Millionaire Raffle game has the best odds of winning $1 million ever offered by the Lottery, and we are thrilled that people are buying the tickets so quickly.” said Lottery Commissioner Gary Peters.
The Millionaire Raffle drawing will be conducted on January 3 when 765 lucky numbers will be drawn. The $1 million prizes will be announced following the evening drawing and all other numbers will be available through the Lottery’s Web site https://www.michiganlottery.com, or by visiting your local Lottery retailer or Regional office.
All proceeds from the Michigan Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan. In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $686.3 million.
