WINNING MEGA MILLIONS TICKET SOLD IN MICHIGAN!

LANSING, November 15, 2006 – A lucky Michigan Lottery player is $75 million richer this morning!

One ticket, sold at the Shell Station, 5640 Haggerty, in Canton, matched all five white balls plus the Mega ball to win Tuesday’s Mega Millions jackpot.  The ticket holder will have the choice of annuity payments, which will pay $75 million, less taxes, over 26 years, or a lump sum payment of approx. $44.6 million, less taxes.

Numbers drawn were 9-20-24-25-36; Mega ball, 23.

“Congratulations to Michigan’s newest multimillionaire!” Lottery Commissioner Gary Peters said.

The lucky player is urged to call the Lottery’s Public Relations Division at (517) 373-1237 to make arrangements to claim his or her prize.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $686.3 million.
