LANSING, November 14, 2006 – A lucky woman, who opted to remain anonymous, matched nine of 10 numbers in the 10-spot Club Keno game and doubled her money to $10,000 with a “2X” Kicker amount.
The easy pick ticket winnings will be used to pay bills. The 58-year-old hid the ticket in a drawer before cashing it in at the Lottery’s Wyoming regional office.
The lucky ticket was purchased at Fairlanes, 3335 Fairlanes Ave., SW, in Grandville.
Club Keno offers 37 different ways to play and win. Players can wager $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $10 or $20 per drawing and tickets can be purchased for up to 20 drawings at a time. Players win Club Keno by matching some or all of the numbers they have selected to the numbers drawn. The more numbers matched, the more the player wins.
All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan. In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $686.3 million.
