LANSING, November 13, 2006 – The Michigan Lottery is taking winning to a whole new level with the launch of Millionaire Raffle!
On sale Sunday, November 12, Millionaire Raffle offers the best odds ever of winning a million dollars in a Lottery game.
Up for grabs are five prizes of $1 million; 10 prizes of $100,000; and 750 prizes of $1,000!
The Millionaire Raffle game will sell only 500,000 tickets and once the tickets are gone, sales will close. The drawing will be conducted on January 3, at which time 765 lucky numbers will be drawn. The five $1 million prizes will be announced during the evening drawing. The entire list of winning numbers will be available shortly after the drawing.
“This the first time the Michigan Lottery has offered a raffle game and we are sure our players are going to love the big prizes and great odds!” said Lottery Commissioner Gary Peters.
Millionaire raffle tickets are available at all Lottery terminals and Club Keno locations. The $20 tickets will be printed in numerical order, from one to 500,000, as they are sold. Tickets cannot be cancelled. Winning tickets must match all numbers drawn in exact order. The tickets will be easy-picks only and multi-draw wagers will not be available
Following the drawing, all Millionaire Raffle results will be available on the Lottery’s Web site at https://www.michiganlottery.com. Players will also find results at Lottery Regional offices and Lottery retailers.
All proceeds from the Michigan Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan. In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $686.3 million.
