$10,000 prize claimed

LANSING, October 30, 2006 – A very lucky Club Keno player claimed $10,000 after she matched nine of ten numbers on a 10-Spot game.

Usually the match pays out $5,000, but since K. Cuperus wagered $2 per draw, she multiplied her winnings!

The lucky winner from Grand Rapids, said she has no immediate plans for the money.

The lucky ticket was purchased at the Web Bar, 644 Richmond St. NW, in Grand Rapids.

Club Keno offers 37 different ways to play and win.  Players can wager $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $10 or $20 per drawing and tickets can be purchased for up to 20 drawings at a time.  Players win Club Keno by matching some or all of the numbers they have selected to the numbers drawn.  The more numbers matched, the more the player wins.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2005, the contribution was $667.6 million.
