Winner claims big prize

LANSING, October 24, 2006 – A very lucky winner claimed $40,000 after matching all eight numbers in an 8-Spot Club Keno game.

The win, which usually pays $10,000 was multiplied by a “4X” Kicker.

The lucky ticket was purchased on Oct. 19 at Goldie’s Saloon, 45330 Romeo Plank, in Macomb.

The lucky player wagered $10 on two of the tickets, with the Kicker option, which came up ?3X” to win $60,000 on each ticket.  The third ticket was a $2 wager with a payout of $12,000.  That ticket also had a $4 winner.

Club Keno offers 37 different ways to play and win.  Players can wager $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $10 or $20 per drawing and tickets can be purchased for up to 20 drawings at a time.  Players win Club Keno by matching some or all of the numbers they have selected to the numbers drawn.  The more numbers matched, the more the player wins.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2005, the contribution was $667.6 million.
