LANSING, October 13, 2006 – The second half of the Oct. 5 Fantasy 5 jackpot was claimed by a very lucky St. Helen woman.

The winner, who chose to remain anonymous, split the jackpot with one other player.  She has been playing the Lottery for 20 years and used the numbers she found in a fortune cookie to choose her winning numbers.

The lucky winner plans to purchase a new car and make home improvements with her prize money.  Her winning own pick ticket was purchased at Sunrise Store #20, 1747 N. M-76, in St. Helen.

Fantasy 5 drawings are conducted seven days a week.  Jackpots start at $100,000 and grow by approximately $5,000 daily.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2005, the contribution was $667.6 million.
