LANSING, September 20, 2006 – A very lucky man is $7.6 million richer, thanks to the Michigan Lottery’s Classic Lotto 47 game!

The lucky winner, who opted to remain anonymous, matched all six numbers – 2, 8, 9, 20, 25, and 45 – during the Sept. 9 drawing.

The lucky winning easy pick ticket was purchased at Meijer #145, 34835 Utica Rd., in Fraser. 

Classic Lotto 47 is the Michigan Lottery’s newest game, which replaced WinFall.  Drawings for the game are conducted at 7:29 pm every Wednesday and Saturday night.  Jackpots start at $1 million and grow by at least $100,000 each drawing.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2005, the contribution was $667.6 million.
