LANSING, September 19, 2006 – Claudine Eastling of Muskegon won $30,000 when she matched all eight numbers in an 8-Spot Club Keno drawing on Sept. 15.
The prize for the match is usually $10,000, but Eastling purchased the Kicker option and with a “3X” Kicker, multiplied her winnings.
She hid the winning ticket in her pocket until claiming her prize at the Lottery office in Wyoming.
The winning “own pick” ticket was purchased using her favorite numbers at Tip-A-Few Tavern, 10 Franklin St., in Grand Haven.
She has been playing the Lottery for 20 and plans to use her prize money to pay bills.
Club Keno offers 37 different ways to play and win. Players can wager $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $10 or $20 per drawing and tickets can be purchased for up to 20 drawings at a time. Players win Club Keno by matching some or all of the numbers they have selected to the numbers drawn. The more numbers matched, the more the player wins.
All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan. In fiscal year 2005, the contribution was $667.6 million.
