Another Club Keno winner claims big money

LANSING, September 19, 2006- A very lucky Flint man is $20,000 richer after he matched all eight numbers in an 8-Spot Club Keno game with a “2X” Kicker on Sept. 13.

Steve Benjamin, a machine repairman for Buick, said he hid the ticket in a safe before claiming his prize.

He has no immediate plans for the prize money.

The winning “easy pick” ticket was purchased Jamins, 3708 Robert T. Longway, in Flint.

Club Keno offers 37 different ways to play and win. Players can wager $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $10 or $20 per drawing and tickets can be purchased for up to 20 drawings at a time. Players win Club Keno by matching some or all of the numbers they have selected to the numbers drawn. The more numbers matched, the more the player wins.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan. In fiscal year 2005, the contribution was $667.6 million.
