$10,000 Mega Millions ticket claimed

LANSING, September 15, 2006 – William Oliver from Eastpointe is a very lucky 53-year-old.  The salesman matched four white ball numbers and the Mega ball number to win a $10,000 prize in the Sept. 12 drawing!

He plans to save his prize money.  In his free time, the winner enjoys snowmobiling, fishing and hunting.

Oliver purchased the lucky winning easy pick Mega Millions ticket at 10 Mile & Kelly Mobil, 18700 E. 10 Mile Rd., in Eastpointe.

Mega Millions is a multi-state lottery game in Michigan, California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.  Wagers cost $1 each and tickets may be purchased at more than 10,000 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2005, the contribution was $667.6 million.
