Bingo Fever strikes lucky player

LANSING, September 11, 2006 – A longtime Lottery player struck it rich when he scratched a winning Bingo Fever Instant ticket to win $12,000!

The lucky Three Rivers man, who chose to remain anonymous, said he plans to use the money to pay bills.  He cashed in the winning ticket on Sept. 5 at the Lottery’s office in Wyoming.

In his spare time the player enjoys fishing.  The lucky ticket was purchased at Meijer #175, 800 S. US Highway 131, in Three Rivers.

Bingo Fever is just one of many Michigan Lottery Instant tickets available at more than 10,000 Lottery retailers statewide.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2005, the contribution was $667.6 million.
