$10,000 prize claimed

LANSING, September 11, 2006 – Patricia Chavers of Clarkston was “happy” when she scratched a $200,000 Cash Instant ticket to win a prize of $10,000!

The lucky player, who has been buying Lottery tickets for 20 years, said she plans to use the money to pay bills.  She hid the ticket in her car before claiming the prize.

The lucky ticket was purchased at Pine Knob Wine Shoppe, 5726 Maybee Rd., in Clarkson.

$200,000 Cash is just one of many Michigan Lottery Instant tickets available at more than 10,000 Lottery retailers statewide.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2005, the contribution was $667.6 million.
