LANSING, August 31, 2006 – The Michigan Lottery’s 2006 events season will come to an end this weekend at the Arts, Beats & Eats Festival in Pontiac.
The Lottery’s booth, sponsored by Meijer #53, will feature the Michigan Lottery’s prize wheel where players will have an opportunity to spin and win exciting Lottery prizes! To earn a spin on the wheel, just purchase $10 in tickets sold at the festival. Players can purchase both Instant and online tickets at the booth.
Hours for the Lottery booth are 5 – 11 p.m. Friday, September 1; 11 a.m. – 11 p.m. on Saturday, September 2 and Sunday, September 3; and 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. on Monday, September 4.
Arts, Beats & Eats celebrates its ninth year with art, cuisine, music and humanity throughout downtown Pontiac. 50 restaurants, 160 music performers and 155 art exhibitors are expected this year.
The Lottery will also be at the State Fair this Labor Day weekend. Festivities end on Monday, September 4. Games offered at the State Fair are Club Keno, Pull Tabs and online games. Daily hours of operation are 12 – 8 p.m.
All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan. In fiscal year 2005, the contribution was $667.6 million.
