Longtime player wins big

LANSING, August 25, 2006 – Bruce Gruber, of Hartford is a very lucky guy!  He matched four white balls and the Mega ball to win $10,000 in the August 11 Mega Millions drawing.

The lucky man has been playing the Lottery for 20 years and this is his largest win to date. 

He has no immediate plans for the money but enjoys golfing and fishing in his spare time.

The winning easy pick ticket was purchased at Themar #14, 26778 M 43, in Paw Paw.

Mega Millions is a multi-state lottery game in Michigan, California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.  Wagers cost $1 each and tickets may be purchased at more than 10,000 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2005, the contribution was $667.6 million.
