Midland man "loves" $10,000 win

LANSING, August 9, 2006 – Arthur Love, Jr. is a very lucky 29-year-old.  He matched four white ball numbers and the Mega ball to win a $10,000 Mega Millions prize.

The Midland man found out about his good fortune after having a friend check his ticket.  He hid the lucky winning ticket in his wallet before cashing it in at the Lottery’s Saginaw office.

Love plans to purchase a car and pay off family bills with his prize money.

The winning easy pick ticket was purchased at Admiral Petroleum #13, 1801 S. Saginaw Rd., in Midland.

Mega Millions is a multi-state lottery game in Michigan, California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.  Wagers cost $1 each and tickets may be purchased at more than 10,000 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.
