Regular Lottery player wins $10,000

LANSING, July 25, 2006 – A very lucky Eastpointe man is $10,000 richer, thanks to the Lottery’s Mega Millions game.  Don Bush matched four white ball numbers and the gold Mega ball number to win the prize.

Bush was happy with his easy pick win, which is his largest to date.  He hid the ticket in a fire proof safe before redeeming it at the Lottery’s Sterling Heights office.

The winning ticket was purchased at BP Gas Station, 22701 Gratiot Ave., in Eastpointe.

Mega Millions is a multi-state lottery game in Michigan, California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.  Wagers cost $1 each and tickets may be purchased at more than 10,000 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2005, the contribution was $667.6 million.
