Grand Haven winner strikes it rich

LANSING, May 30, 2006 – An 8-Spot Club Keno wager really paid off for one lucky player!  He won $10,002 on the game.

The lucky winner, who chose to remain anonymous, said he plans to use the money to pay bills.  In his spare time he enjoys working out and has been playing the Lottery for about 10 years.

He purchased the lucky ticket at Uccello’s Ritsorante, 2630 E. Beltline Rd., in Grand Rapids.

Club Keno offers 37 different ways to play and win.  Players can wager $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $10 or $20 per drawing and tickets can be purchased for up to 20 drawings at a time.  Players win Club Keno by matching some or all of the numbers they have selected to the numbers drawn.  The more numbers matched, the more the player wins.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2005, the contribution was $667.6 million.
