72-year-old winner claims prize

LANSING, May 26, 2006 – Robert Mirti is a very lucky man!  He won $10,000 when he matched all eight numbers on an 8-Spot Club Keno ticket.

The lucky Westland man has been playing the Lottery for about five years and was “very happy” with his win.

Mirti plans to use the money to pay bills and selected his winning numbers by using birthdays.

The winning ticket was purchased at the Trophy Room Pub, 25034 Ford Rd., in Westland.

Club Keno offers 37 different ways to play and win.  Players can wager $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $10 or $20 per drawing and tickets can be purchased for up to 20 drawings at a time.  Players win Club Keno by matching some or all of the numbers they have selected to the numbers drawn.  The more numbers matched, the more the player wins.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2005, the contribution was $667.6 million.
