Bloomingdale woman wins big

LANSING, May 19, 2006 – Betty Pacheco is a very lucky lady!  She matched all five of the white ball numbers, without matching the Mega ball, in the May 12 Mega Millions drawing to win $250,000!

Pacheco, who owns Pizza Time in Bloomingdale, said she was shaking when she realized her ticket was a big winner.  She and her husband plan to use the money for their retirement.

The lucky winner purchased her easy pick ticket at the Main Street Market, 110 N. Van Buren St., in Bloomingdale.

Mega Millions is a multi-state lottery game in Michigan, California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.  Wagers cost $1 each and tickets may be purchased at more than 10,000 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2005, the contribution was $667.6 million.
